330 _aThe exhibition explores a region in southern Tunisia known as Bled El Abar - the "land of wells" - where a constellation of water points maps the trajectories of nomads and formerly nomadic communities who have settled in the desert. These wells, shelters for people, livestock, and all living beings, bear witness to an ancestral memory that is now fragile. Through the map, photographs, videos, and the book documenting the repair of the Bir Ettin well, the exhibition reflects a meaningful collaboration between the collective, artists, and the inhabitants of this territory. Land of Wells also marks the beginning of a commitment: to preserve these sources of life.
